  16.  - Supports common BMP file types, including both Windows and OS/2 BMP
  17.    formats.  These include BMP images with a bit depth of 1, 4, 8, 16, 24
  18.    and 32, and also all RLE compressed BMP files
  19.  
  20.  - Highly optimized datatype dispatch engine and BMP decoder,
  21.    resulting in a very efficient, compact and quick BMP datatype
  22.  
  23.  - Asynchronous file i/o and double buffering techniques (WarpOS only),
  24.    which speeds up image decoding
  25.  
  26.  - Optimized versions for 68020, 030, 040 and 060
  27.  
  28.  - Native PowerPC support for both WarpOS and MorphOS
  29.  
  30.  - Specific support for the OS 3.5/3.9 picture.datatype, when available

  32.  - The dithering feature of the OS 3.5/3.9 picture.datatype can be

  38. WarpBMP is a Windows BMP datatype which utilizes and requires the following:

  40.  - Kickstart 3.0 or higher
  41.  - picture.datatype v43 or higher
  42.    (i.e. either of the ones supplied with AmigaOS 3.5/3.9, P96 or CGraphX)

  44.  68k version
  45.  
  46.  - 68020 processor or higher (optimized versions included)
  47.  
  48.  WarpOS version
  49.  
  50.  - PPC accelerator card + 68040/060
  51.  - WarpUp Release 4 (powerpc.library V15) or higher
  52.  
  53.  MorphOS version
  54.  
  55.  - PPC accelerator card
  56.  - MorphOS beta release 1 or higher
  57.  
  58. Note that a graphics card is not necessary - the P96 or OS 3.5/3.9
  59. picture.datatype will automatically dither images down to your display
  60. requirements.
